Description
Summary of Position/Purpose: The Master Data Steward position is responsible for ensuring the company's data standards are met throughout the organization, focusing primarily upon the ERP and CRM systems. The mission of this role is to build and maintain a high-quality singular unified data structure for all TEG to support current operations, future projects, and support the integration of future acquisitions into this structure. Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Cleanse/centralize/enhance data, including customer, vendor, product, and order data
- Constantly find new ways to improve or enhance our data through technology, people, or processes
- Co-ordinate with Commercial Insight team to investigate and address master data issues which are impacting reporting
- Define data standards; clarify existing data standards and recommend new standards as appropriate
- Lead data migration efforts associated with ERP and CRM implementations
- Prepare/merge/enhance data for future acquisitions to support integration projects
- Measure and report on data quality, and drive continuous improvement in this regard
- Train/re-train users on Data Standards and ensure their success.
- Define & support the implementation of system & process controls related to data quality
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Proven Experience in a Master Data role is preferred
- Experience with large data sets in Microsoft Excel (multiple sets of 400k+ records) is required
- Experience with ERP and CRM solutions is highly preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI & Microsoft Fabric
- Distribution industry experience
- Experience supporting Mergers & Acquisition projects & integrations
- Prior experience with ERP / CRM Data Migration/Unification Projects
Physical Requirements:
