Job Overview
The main responsibilities of a Prime Contract Administrator include preparing and revising contracts, monitoring compliance with contract terms, and coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders. This professional is also responsible for handling contractual disputes, maintaining detailed documentation, and ensuring that all parties fulfill their contractual obligations. They provide essential support in cost control and play a crucial role in protecting their company's interests throughout the duration of a project. Work Model: Onsite/In-Office
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Developing contract proposals to support organizational goals.
- Reviewing and negotiating the terms and conditions of contracts.
- Ensuring that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate policies and legal requirements.
- Conducting regular contract reviews to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Collaborating with the legal department to mitigate risks involved in contracts.
- Maintaining an organized system of physical and digital records for all contract-related correspondence and documentation.
- Providing timely responses to queries regarding contracts and resolving any conflicts that arise.
- Liaising between internal teams and external parties to ensure clear communication and successful project execution.
- Issuing instructions to project teams based on contractual agreements.
- Monitoring budget adjustments and authorizing payments and invoices as outlined in the contract.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field required and 10 years' related experience.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) may be favored or required, as these demonstrate a recognized level of competency in the field.
- Solid understanding of legal terminology relevant to contract law and specific regulations.
- Proven experience in contract administration or a similar role, ideally within the industry, is highly beneficial.
- Must possess legal acument, strategic negotiation skills and meticulous attention to details.
- Must posses excellent organizational abilities and strong communication skills to effectively manage contracts that support the organizational goals.
- U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a NASA security badge.
- Valid Real ID state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record pertinent to this position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
