Contractor, UX Writing (TV) Product Design Team This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Cupertino, CA. Summary We're looking for a UX Writer to join the Product Design team, helping craft intuitive, engaging user experiences across TV platforms-spanning the app, operating system, and streaming service. You'll play a key role in shaping how users interact with our products, ensuring clarity, consistency, and delight at every step. Our Ideal Candidate 3-7 years of experience in UX writing, content design, or a related field Passion for entertainment and streaming media, with a strong foundation in user-centered writing and storytelling Proficient in Figma, content systems, and collaborative design tools, with strong UX writing and content strategy skills Familiar with TV platforms, streaming services, design systems, and iterative product development Skilled in collaborating with designers, engineers, researchers, product managers, and marketers Able to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder feedback Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail Comfortable working within a defined voice and tone while advocating for clarity, simplicity, and cohesion Job Description In this role, you will help define and deliver high-quality content experiences across the TV ecosystem. You'll partner with product designers, engineers, researchers, and business teams to develop copy that enhances usability and reflects the brand voice. This includes writing for new features, naming conventions, user flows, product logic, and educational content. You will also support ongoing improvements by iterating on feedback, ensuring consistency across the platform, and contributing to the team's design and content systems-helping elevate the overall user experience and support product success. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Background in UX design, product writing, content strategy, or interface design Experience in entertainment, media, or streaming platforms is preferred Additional Requirements Please include a resume and portfolio with UX writing samples or case studies This opportunity is located in Cupertino, CA and requires hybrid work on-site The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $71.99 - $80.50 per hour This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements Mathys+Potestio values applicants of all backgrounds and experiences.
