Overview
The Vice President of Audit Operations (Retail) will provide strategic and operational leadership for Cotiviti's Retail audit services, ensuring the achievement of financial and customer satisfaction goals. Reporting to the VP of Retail Operations, this role is responsible for driving revenue growth, operational excellence, and delivering exceptional audit services to our clients. The VP will oversee multiple teams, foster a high-performance culture, and implement innovative solutions to maximize audit outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Create, articulate, and direct a clear vision of how Cotiviti will successfully deliver audit services to Cotiviti's clients. Model and drive accountability across business development, account management, and operations teams for achievement of revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
- Drive the successful delivery of recovery audit services by providing strategic leadership and oversight. Ensure that client needs and expectations are not only met but exceeded.
- Own client relationships at all levels within the client's organization, working in concert with the Strategic Account Manager.
- Collaborate with Audit Leadership Teams to achieve growth opportunities within existing and potential clients and identify opportunities to provide value-added services that support client initiatives.
- Collaborate strategically with clients and the sales team to manage contract renewals and navigate RFP processes. Identify gaps in existing contracts and understand customer needs to ensure successful renewals.
- Responsible for creating Retail operations budget, managing and forecasting performance in accordance with Retail KPI's.
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, productivity, predictability, and cost reduction while ensuring 100% compliance with customer contracts and company policies.
- Foster an environment of continuous development of innovative solutions and optimizing processes and efficiencies.
- Serve as the top escalation point to resolve customer issues, leading the implementation of actions by other leaders and teams to ensure resolution and complete customer satisfaction.
- Provide assistance and remove barriers as needed to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Implement established processes for training and career progression to enable revenue growth and staff development.
- Promote and participate in knowledge-sharing activities, including best practices, benchmarking, whitepapers, and IT tool enhancements.
- Ensure that all staff levels are properly trained on policies, procedures, and best practices, maintaining necessary certifications and education.
- Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Proactively plan for succession and growth, ensuring no gap in productivity and customer service.
- Consistently apply good people management practices aligned with company values. Manage direct reports, fulfilling all corporate duties associated with leadership.
- Foster a climate of collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork for all team members that support the Cotiviti mission, values, and long-range goals and initiatives.
- Meet regularly with audit and audit support managers to ensure appropriate staffing levels, plan, and organize workloads and staff assignments according to audit needs.
- Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
- Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 12-15 years of related experience in a corporate environment and managing people; ability to successfully manage a team and collaborate with others.
- Demonstrated track record of success in managing a similar business function.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of retail industries.
- Must possess both strong analytical skills, and the ability to think strategically.
- Must have strong presentation skills with both internal and external clients
- Must have proven ability to build strong client relationships.
- Solid financial acumen and understanding of budget, forecast, and workforce planning required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint required.
- Prior experience with direct client contact (account management, audit, sales, etc.) required.
- Ability to work well in an individual and team environment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Travel required.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
- Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
- Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
Base compensation ranges from $200,000 to $270,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
