JOB SUMMARY Responsible for supporting business insurance and bonding program structure, including annual policy renewal, premium payments, claims management, and tracking of loss statistics and trends. Primary point of contact with insurance brokers and carriers. Partner with line-of-business leaders and department heads for contract analysis and OCIP and CCIP reporting. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Point of contact with the insurance broker and carriers * Reviews contracts for major construction, renovation, service, vendor, and subcontract work to ensure propriety of insurance terminology and loss control * Assists with creating and modifying contract boilerplates as needed * Analyzes financial data and determines bonding status for subcontractors as required * Compute OCIP/CCIP deductions and complete bid qualification requests as required * Actively participates in quarterly safety committee meetings and reports relevant dashboard analytics and trends at each meeting * Collects and maintains all certificates of insurance for the Company, including reviews of subcontractor certificates of insurance and approval thereon annually * Partners with the human resources department to report, track, and manage workers' compensation and general liability claims * Reports, tracks, and manages all other liability claims and related investigations and filings * Analyses and reports on a monthly basis appropriate expense trends, loss data, rate history, and other relevant KPI's necessary for ongoing evaluation of insurance exposure and coverage * Prepares monthly journal entries, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations for all relevant insurance accounts * Prepares quarterly loss adjustment analysis * Supports annual business insurance renewal process * Handles annual business insurance audit process * Prepares necessary information in support of annual and mid-year budgets * Prepares OCIP, CCIP, and PT&I rate analyses * Collaborates productively and proactively with profit center managers, support center personnel, and other department personnel as necessary in pursuit of accomplishing these responsibilities * Delivers work product on time and in the necessary manner/format as required by customers Other Projects * Prepare and analyze annual peer group survey data * Preparation and/or review of various income tax schedules, annual audit schedules, and other financial requests as necessary BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * Undergraduate degree from an accredited university or similar institution in the field of insurance or a similar field of study * Minimum of 2 years of claims processing and administration, focusing on all property, casualty, and professional lines of coverage Preferred Qualifications * Experience/knowledge in Architecture, Engineering, Construction ("AEC") industry * CPCU designation in progress KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND CHARACTERISTICS * Data research, collection, and analysis techniques and preparation of written and oral reports * Budgetary practices and controls * Ability to use time productively to meet deadlines and challenging work goals * Must possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values * Must project a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust * Must have solid PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software * Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently * Must be a critical thinker with the ability to review facts and come to conclusions * Must be a team player willing to offer opinions and follow direction even when the opinion is not selected WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT * Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment * No or very limited exposure to physical risk * No or very limited physical effort required Moving Safety Forward, our initiative for continuous improvements in our safety culture, reminds us that we are on a journey toward a zero-incident culture.
