Marketing Intern (Hybrid - VA)

GuidePoint Security's Federal Region is seeking a Federal Marketing Intern for the Summer-Fall 2025 term. This hybrid position includes part-time support at our HQ in Reston, VA and local travel to events throughout the DMV area. The intern will focus on both event support and marketing operations, reporting directly to the Sr. Federal Marketing Specialist and the Federal Marketing Manager.

In this role, you will assist with the execution of field events, help maintain the health and data integrity of our key marketing systems like Salesforce and Marketo, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A key part of this role will include working on the leadup and execution of a marquee event, and candidates must be able to support through November 7, 2025.

The ideal candidate is positive, highly collaborative, detail-oriented, metrics-driven, and eager to learn. This position does not require a security clearance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• The Federal Marketing Intern will work directly with the Federal Marketing Team and report to the Sr. Federal Marketing Specialist
• Support Federal Marketing Team with event logistics and vendor engagements, to include:




• Vendor sponsorships
• Sourcing Event Venues
• Event supply management, shipping and handling of event materials and closet inventory support and organization
• Registration management
• Leads Management
• Promotion of events and industry topics on Social Media channels (Must have LinkedIn)
• Assist with creation of event campaigns via Marketo Software
• Ensure deadlines are met for all event-related activities, purchases, promotions, and deliverables
• Support the day-to-day management of marketing operations and core marketing technologies, including Salesforce and Marketo.




• Assist Sales team with event coordination and logistics alongside Marketing team
• Help manage events calendars and trackers
• Willingness to learn Salesforce and Marketo software, Google Systems, and Monday.com
• Support/attend Partner related events to further knowledge of technology solutions, and vendor engagement
• Assist in drafting and proofreading marketing content, such as email copy, event descriptions, and social media posts
• Use Canva to create visual content for social media, event signage, and email banners ensuring brand consistency and visual appeal across marketing materials
• Provide administrative support to the marketing team as needed
• Provide onsite support when needed
• Other related duties as needed

Requirements

• Events Management, Marketing, Business and/or related degree/experience preferred
• Must live within 30 miles from the Reston, VA Office (hybrid work)
• Ideally a graduating student and/or someone who is seeking full-time employment directly after the internship
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, self-starter
• Resourcefulness with a strong ability to problem solve
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent people and relationship-building skills to interact with colleagues, regional teams, and vendor partners
• Extremely detail oriented and results driven
