Pay:

Visterra offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 annually, but actual compensation will vary depending upon new hire experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Role Overview:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in strengthening Visterra's HR infrastructure, focusing on onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, training & development, and acquisition integration. This role ensures a smooth employee experience for both existing staff and employees from newly acquired organizations while maintaining HR best practices across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a structured onboarding program, including managing new hire paperwork and compliance training.
  • Facilitate transitions for employees from acquired companies and partners with hiring managers for smooth onboarding.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, addressing concerns and resolving workplace issues.
  • Ensure HR policies comply with federal, state, and local labor laws, assist with audits, and stay updated with regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs for skill enhancement, leadership development, and compliance.
  • Support HR due diligence and onboarding during acquisitions, ensuring smooth cultural and operational transitions.
  • Promote open communication and employee feedback initiatives to enhance satisfaction and retention.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of HR Business Partner experience, preferably in a fast-growing or multi-location environment.
  • Exposure to M&A integration and employee transitions is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, HR compliance, and best practices.
  • Experience in designing and delivering employee training programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to handle employee concerns professionally and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and HR software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, UKG, or similar).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time and be on-site when not traveling.
  • ADP experience required.
