MISSION STATEMENT

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Mechanical Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems and other indoor air quality systems. The HVAC Technician will perform emergency repairs, calibrate systems, replace components such as transformers, thermostats, and compressors. This position will collaborate with the Maintenance Manager on parts needing to be ordered, thus taking a proactive approach to ensure the equipment is operating at all times. The ideal candidate should be motivated with a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.

CORE JOB DUTIES



  • Install, inspect, and test HVAC systems and components (e.g., motors, thermostats, compressors, pumps, ducts).
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems and recommend appropriate repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on systems, including cleaning coils, changing filters, checking refrigerant levels, and calibrating equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ensure systems comply with local and federal regulations and safety standards.
  • Record service and maintenance reports and keep accurate logs of work performed.
  • Communicate with site leadership about system operations, maintenance needs, and service timelines.
  • Assist with energy efficiency improvements and system upgrades.
  • Respond to emergency service calls (nights, weekends, holidays) and troubleshoot problems on-site.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS



  • High school diploma or GED; technical training or HVAC certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC service or installation; 2-5 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various HVAC systems, electrical components, and mechanical operations.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (for handling refrigerants) preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Ability to perform pipe repair skills such as soldering and braising.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
  • Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
  • Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.

In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the compensation listed is the current estimated range for the position. Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Pay Range
$22.50 $30.80 USD
