Join Our Team as a Bridge Engineer - Strengthen the Communities We Serve! Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to grow and strengthen communities in a dynamic and supportive environment? We're seeking a passionate, skilled, and motivated Bridge Engineer to join our team. If you're ready to make an impact and take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you! What You'll Do:
- Produce consistently high-quality design on a wide variety of bridge projects, both large- and small-scale, including the design of steel and concrete vehicular and pedestrian bridges.
- Prepare and complete discipline engineering designs that are responsive to project needs including production, design, shop drawing review, quantities, cost estimates, construction administration, and final specifications, ensuring that work is accurate and in accordance with good engineering codes and specifications.
- Conduct field observations and data collection activities.
- Periodically provide on-site visits to inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with project specifications or other regulations and effectively communicate and coordinate with other team members regarding schedule progress on assigned tasks.
- Analyze technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devising new approaches and alternative solutions.
What We're Looking For:
- 5 years of experience in the design of all components of steel and concrete bridges.
- Proficiency in layout and design of conventional and complex bridge structures.
- Proficiency in MicroStation/OpenBridge and Leap Bridge software.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
- Valid Driver's License required
- Experience working with NCDOT projects preferred
