Join us as a Sr. Cost Accountant

This position works under general direction and is primarily responsible for performing all cost accounting activities as well as working directly with production management to ensure they have product cost and variance information needed to manage their operations effectively.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

• Determining the cost of business activities such as raw material purchases, overhead, and labor rates through information collection and analysis.

• Organizing, preparing, and analyzing re-costing of products on an annual basis, and reporting findings to Regional and Corporate stakeholders along with any major adjustments that need to be made.

• Working with production to establish costing methods for new products, equipment, and processes, and validating current costing methods.

• Collaborating with production and planning to ensure inventory records are accurately maintained and valued.

• Preparing monthly reports for Denmark, production, and all internal customers upon request.

• Providing management with variance analysis to offer recommendations and insights.

• Preparing cost-benefit analyses as requested by management.

• Coordinating and executing the standard costing process for the annual budget.

To succeed you must hold:

• Ability to read, write and speak English.

• Ability to effectively communicate and present information to different business units.

• Organization and analytical skills are required.

• Possess a strong working knowledge in SAP and BI and Microsoft Excel.

• These characteristics are normally acquired through a bachelor's degree in accounting, and a minimum of five years of experience in cost and financial accounting.

Expected salary range: $85,000 - $95,000
