Description
Aurorium is seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Director to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, value-based sales strategy. This leadership role requires a strong commercial mindset, deep customer orientation, and a passion for building high-performing sales teams. The Sales Director will be responsible for driving profitable revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, and collaborating cross-functionally to support innovation and long-term business success.

Role Specific Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, value-based sales strategy aligned with market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive intelligence to inform go-to-market plans and optimize resource allocation.
  • Lead segmentation efforts to prioritize customers based on value potential and strategic fit

Strategic Account Management
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with key accounts, overseeing tailored plans and quarterly business reviews.
  • Support the launch and promotion of new products through economic evaluation, market feedback, and collaboration with Marketing and R&D.

Financial Leadership
  • Lead annual sales budgeting and forecasting based on seller input and market trends.
  • Deliver accurate forecasts and monthly performance reports, highlighting key growth drivers and funnel progression.
  • Drive top-line growth and margin improvement through value selling, pricing strategies, and funnel management.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Inspire and lead a high-performing sales team through mentoring, coaching, and talent development.
  • Drive behavioral excellence using tools such as Salesforce and BI dashboards to monitor and coach performance
  • Develop succession plans, ensure robust onboarding processes, and manage performance through clear KPIs and incentive structures.
  • Manage the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), driving motivation and accountability through performance-based rewards

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Foster strong collaboration with Marketing and R&D ("the Commercial Triangle") to drive joint commercial outcomes
  • Ensure effective contract negotiation and management ensuring alignment with company standards and commercial advantage
  • Promote a culture of high engagement, recognition, and performance excellence

Continuous Improvement & Compliance
  • Champion sales enablement efforts, establish benchmarks, and implement improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/Desired Skills

Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred

Experience:
  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, in chemical manufacturing, or complex manufacturing environment
  • Global experience required
  • Experience working in a private equity environment a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven ability to lead strategy development, manage high-stakes negotiations, and drive commercial execution
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and BI dashboards.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Track record of building and developing high-performing sales teams
