QM Clinical Specialist

Job Summary: The QM Clinical Specialist implements programs to improve the quality of systems and service provided throughout LLUHC. Responsible for independent management and/or coordination of Clinic Safety Evaluations to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Independently assumes a leadership role in accreditation preparation to ensure clinic and staff are prepared for a survey. Applies acquired knowledge to assess situations and independently solve problems based on department organization, policies and personnel. Participates in and assists with other general QM department activities requiring clinical judgment. Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or related field required. Minimum three years clinical and/or outpatient experience required. Minimum one year Quality management experience preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA): Knowledge: Regulatory and accreditation standards governing rules and regulations ensuring clinic safety protocols. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Able to keyboard 40 wpm. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Essential Interpersonal Skills: Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Essential Mental Abilities: Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Essential Sensory Abilities: Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Licensures and Certifications: Active California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or License required. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) License required.
