Position: Flight Paramedic (EMT-P) Location: St Robert Hours / Shift: Full-Time, Four 24-Hour Shifts Per Pay Period Overview: Provides high-quality critical care including assessment, triage, and treatment while transporting patients. Working with the Flight Nurse, this position requires the ability to administer medicine and provide advanced life support in a helicopter's confined and noisy space. This role requires a combination of advanced clinical skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to work in high-pressure environments. Job Duties:
- Assess, evaluate, develop plan of care, and treat and monitor critically ill patients while under pressure.
- Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team, and the patient and family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
- Collect and interpret complex patient data to make clinical decisions to meet individual patient and family needs.
- Coordinate patient care and interventions to transitioning team, receiving facility, and providers.
- Assist in maintaining the readiness of the helicopter, equipment and supplies are working and available.
