Summary
The DSV Project Manager, FTL/LTL, Road Americas plays a critical strategic role in optimizing transportation solutions for DSV's customers and carrier network. This role focuses on designing optimal routing and freight network strategies, managing key relationships with vendors, carriers, and internal operations teams, and leading cross-functional initiatives to improve cost efficiency, service quality, and client satisfaction. The Project Manager serves as a central point of coordination across departments to ensure integrated execution of transportation projects and continuous improvement of DSV's freight network.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Designs and implements optimal routing and freight network strategies based on customer requirements, service level expectations, and cost objectives.
  • Works collaboratively with customers to understand freight needs and develop custom logistics solutions.
  • Coordinates with Operations leadership to execute projects that improve process efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance visibility across the supply chain.
  • Acts as the lead point of contact for high-priority or complex customer projects, ensuring on-time implementation and consistent communication.
  • Identifies inefficiencies in current freight movement and drives corrective actions using lean principles and network optimization tools.
  • Supports the implementation of new TMS capabilities or process automation tools, including training and documentation.
  • Leads cross-functional initiatives to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time performance, cost per mile, internal capacity utilization rate, and external carrier metrics.
  • Provides regular reporting and performance analytics to DSV leadership and customers on project milestones, freight cost trends, and network efficiency.
  • Participates in quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with customers and vendors to communicate performance, discuss improvement plans, and drive strategic alignment.
  • Facilitates cost analysis and freight modeling to support new customer bids or expansion opportunities.
  • Supports industry knowledge transfer across the branch or region.
  • Leads by example and promotes DSV's values in all business practices
  • Other duties and projects as assigned


Qualifications & Work Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in freight brokerage or transportation operations.
  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional or customer-facing projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Proven background in network design, route optimization, or transportation planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform cost modeling, routing analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $70,500 - $105,500 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
