EMT Basic

The EMT-Basic performs all functions of patient evaluation and assessment within the New Mexico approved scope of practice. Perform patient care procedures and interventions as dictated by the New Mexico scope of practice. Responsible for the delivery of quality care to patients under varied conditions.

High school or GED required
• Completion of the formal EMT-B course is required
• Current license issued by the State of New Mexico Emergency Medical Service Bureau, as an Emergency Medical Technician-B is required.
• Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required.
• BLS required at time of hire
