Position Summary: Develop and maintain labor standards using MOST, time studies, retail observations and process maps. Identify and implement process improvements utilizing process maps, research, industry visits, and retail observations. Collaborate and share best practices and business processes across departments and banners. Institute Continuous Improvement techniques incorporating engineering methodologies throughout Retail. Provide technical, engineering expertise to various teams supporting Retail, Distribution, and Corporate projects. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: > Develop, plan and implement engineered labor standards at Retail. > Document and analyze business process in order to identify opportunities for productivity improvements. Job Title: Specialist II Business Process Engineer Full or Part Time: Full Time > Analyze, evaluate, and recommend business process improvements and best practices that improve productivity. > Design, implement, and plan Retail business processes. > Leverage engineering methodologies to identify opportunities for productivity improvement. > Support Continuous Improvement programs at Retail locations. > Estimate and analyze the impact of any potential operational changes. > Partner with Capital Projects to review equipment and facilities layout to ensure that designs are efficient and enables associates to maximize productivity while achieving customer service standards. > Provide technical and business expertise to Retail Operations concerning business process engineering, engineering methodologies and operations analysis to create more efficient and effective operations. > Develop & maintain a collaborative relationship with business owners. > Drive the usage and education of the process engineering methodology throughout Retail Operations Qualifications and Experience: > Experience with process mapping, operating procedures, labor standards, process metrics, and education programs. > Leadership ability and development potential demonstrated through previous work, or academic experience. > Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with, influence, and establish a good rapport with all levels of associates, management, customers and consultants. > The ability to recognize retail operators as a customer and appropriately communicate complex concepts in an understandable manner. > The ability to employ quantitative decision-making techniques. > Ability to organize and analyze all forms of business process information. > Strong understanding of engineering methodologies. > Exposure to manufacturing, service, or retail operations through academic experience or prior work history. > Appropriate Engineering computer skills (MS-Office, CAD). > Self-directed with a high level of initiative. > Some travel required. > Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain related field. > Master's degree preferred.
