The Supply Chain Forecasting Analyst works with Supply Chain management to ensure materials ordered in stock to meet company goals for customer on-time delivery for both Distribution and SU manufacturing. He/She reviews and analyzes forecasted sales, past sales performance, and upcoming product launches to produce a demand forecast that will drive anticipated future material requirements for purchasing and fabricated materials. The incumbent may prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems, currently SAP APO. In addition to this he/she will support the senior demand planner to present monthly performance to forecast and discuss changes to the future forecast with cross-functional partners. He/Se will also engage with finance to produce a financial forecast using data from the demand forecast to present projected sales for the year. He/She will support new product launches by partnering with inventory management and product management to ensure demand is driving new material requirements to buyers and help ensure a successful product launch.

This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Planning and Procurement and will be full REMOTE.

What we're looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Math, Business, or Supply Chain related field
  • Experience: 1-3 years' experience in demand planning
    • with forecasting system, SAP APO preferred
    • Six Sigma certification or other formal problem-solving skills highly desirable.

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Collect 36 months + rolling previous month sales data from global partners to develop a regional forecast.
  • Analyze historical demand pattern alongside commercial inputs gathered through S&OP processes to generate accurate demand forecasts for all stocking items.
  • Generating a baseline 24-month statistical forecast model
  • Maintaining master data parameters and ensure all forecasts are being passed to Supply Planning
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing on all history cleansing activities, trend adjustments based on historical shipments/depletions and provide S&OP support.
  • Conducting root cause analysis to identify drivers of error and take necessary corrective action to drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and bias performance
  • Owning the statistical forecast accuracy metric which will influence the finished good inventory and safety stock levels to drive customer service targets defined by the market
  • Perform complex data analysis from a variety of sources with a strong emphasis on providing actionable insights.
  • Drive innovation and experimentation to find new best practices across the supply chain.
  • Production and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on the reporting tools and metrics employed.
  • Serve as technical expert on SAP and SAP APO data sources to facilitate reporting
  • Investigate processes to identify areas of opportunity and then make recommendations that facilitate improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to others within supply chain and operations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
