Description
Echelon Services is hiring a UX/UI Developer to support one of our government customers in Fairfield, CA.
- Translate user needs and business goals into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Develop responsive, interactive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including jQuery), and Bootstrap.
- Ability to use C# to implement UI features, integrate with back-end services, and ensure design fidelity across platforms within a Visual Studio environment.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to iterate on and improve existing interfaces.
- Create and maintain design systems, UI style guides, and component libraries.
- Optimize applications for performance, accessibility (WCAG standards), and cross-browser compatibility.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand product requirements and user behaviors, often within an Agile development framework.
- Stay up-to-date with UI/UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to our stack.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, Front-End Developer, or a similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing your design and development work.
- Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including proficiency with jQuery), and Bootstrap.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.
- Experience or strong familiarity with working in a .NET development environment, including collaborating with C# developers and using Visual Studio.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Familiarity with other front-end JavaScript frameworks.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Experience with formal user research and usability testing methodologies.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
