Primary Purpose:
Coordinates company construction projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner. Reviews proposed design packages for construction requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
  • Coordinates with Master Scheduler, Construction Managers/Supervisors, New Business Specialist, and Dispatchers to develop construction work schedules
  • Provides work progress reports to project manager.
  • Participates in the pre-construction planning of projects to determine responsibilities, scheduling and coordinating of customer jobs.
  • Coordinates construction activities with customers, various company departments, and appropriate service organizations. Supports and interacts with the Inspector As.
  • Responsible for deciding which projects remain in the district, or are moved to Construction Services.
  • Responsible for decision to contract work to electric contractor service crews

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:



  • H.S. Diploma/GED Required
  • 4 years Experience related to utility construction either working in the field, welding, or in support of construction such as CMP, dispatching, new business, trench and experience working with electric crews, inspectors and customers. Must also have knowledge of construction standards, work methods and tools, as well as construction projects documentation.
  • Requires the ability to understand and interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good analytical skills/evaluative forward thinking, act with independent judgment, communicate orally and written in a concise accurate manner and pay attention to detail.
  • Should possess good basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of the Windows operating environment, MS suite office products and SAP.
