Open Until Filled.

$2,625.59 to $2,888.15 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional work for the Utility Services Department, assisting and advising the department on issues relating to policies and procedures within local, federal, and state regulations, including grants and other funding methods; providing oversight for the development and preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Invitations to Bid, formal Invitations to Quote, piggyback contracts, and award and execution of the resulting awards; serving as the liaison between Utility Services and vendors, contractors, other County departments, and federal, state, and municipal organizations and agencies; and providing supervision, training, evaluation, and professional development opportunities for assigned staff.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field PLUS five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in managing contracts, including two (2) in a supervisory role. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. A Master's degree is preferred. Local government contract management experience is preferred. Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), issued by the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), or another similar certification is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
