Your Opportunity + Impact

This position is responsible for the coordination, documentation and site observation of projects during the company's construction phase services. Ensures that the work completed is in accordance with the contract documents, specifications, and regulations. When deficiencies are observed, consults with the project Architect and/or Engineer to provide resolution, and notifies client accordingly. Oversees documentation and reporting regarding the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the coordination and distribution of submittals, shop drawings, requests for information (RFIs), change order requests, payment applications and other pertinent items submitted by a General Contractor in reference to construction documents produced by licensed professional Architects and Engineers.
  • Documents observations and creates site visit reports.
  • Continuously monitors work of the team to ensure timely completion and responsiveness.
  • Demonstrates excellent report writing and accurate quantity tracking ability.
  • Interacts with clients, contractors, government agency representatives, and other parties on a regular basis.
  • Communicates information, responds to inquiries, and helps resolve field issues to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Utilizes technical references appropriately. Serves as a Design Team liaison with construction project management, reporting on progress, and delays.
  • Proactively works to resolve any issues that may impede the project delivery.
  • Becomes familiar with construction observation reporting and procedures
  • Manages internal team members to ensure all projects are appropriately supported during the construction phase.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience with construction
  • Licensure/Certification: 10-hour OSHA Construction Certificate or ability to the obtain

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a strong desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities within the field.
  • Proficient in construction document management software such as Procore.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
