We are seeking a Project Design Engineer II to join our dynamic team. Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and layout of mechanical systems, including:
  • HVAC: ductwork, hydronic systems, air distribution, ventilation, and controls
  • Plumbing: domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty systems
  • Process Piping: chemical, gas, compressed air, and other utility piping
• Develop engineering calculations including load estimates, pressure drops, and pipe/duct sizing
• Prepare construction documents, including plans, details, and specifications
• Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines, architects, and contractors
• Conduct site visits and surveys to document existing conditions and support construction
• Support project submittal reviews, RFIs, and field coordination during construction administration
• Ensure designs follow applicable codes, standards (ASHRAE, IPC, IMC, NFPA), and client requirements
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules
• Participate in quality assurance and peer review processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
• 1-4 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and/or process piping system design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; experience with BIM coordination is preferred
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, UPC/IPC, IMC, NFPA)
• Experience with load calculation and system modeling software (e.g., Trane Trace, Energy Pro) is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
