Summary: Responsible for performing a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography exams. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions: Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms using tomosynthesis and 3D Imaging technology. Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate. -Position all patients including those with wheelchairs, walkers, or other disabilities during mammographic exam. -Selects appropriate technical factors to ensure proper exposure. -Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and obtaining additional images as needed. -Explains procedures to patients. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Radiologic Technologist State -NH- Preferred Registered Technologist [R.T. (R)(M) (ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] Experience Experience in accordance with state, federal, and regulatory agencies' rules and regulations 2-3 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Needs to be able to recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients treated, understand the differences in female growth and development, and look for signs of normal aging, degree of understanding, and physical limitations related to age. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Excellent customer service skills. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
