Summary:
Responsible for performing a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography exams. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions: Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms using tomosynthesis and 3D Imaging technology. Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate. -Position all patients including those with wheelchairs, walkers, or other disabilities during mammographic exam. -Selects appropriate technical factors to ensure proper exposure. -Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and obtaining additional images as needed. -Explains procedures to patients. Education Preferred Registered Technologist [R.T. (R)(M) (ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] Physical Requirements
