DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Custodial Worker 1, you will provide housekeeping services to support the operations of Norristown State Hospital. Your duties will include mopping, vacuuming, and sweeping floors, as well as cleaning windows and dusting furniture. You will also ensure all waste is disposed of properly. You can expect to move furniture and equipment, help with snow removal, and maintain dietary areas and equipment. In this position, you will be responsible for cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, and recreation areas. Additionally, you will report the needed maintenance repairs and housekeeping supplies needed to the Custodial Work Supervisor. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will have a rotating schedule, working every 4th weekend and holidays as assigned. This may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime as needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
