What You Will Do:

Performs audits/inspections to ensure employees are performing & documenting jobs in compliance with regulatory and company SOPs. Perform audits and measures results of records audits to verify accuracy, completeness and compliance with regulatory and company procedures. May make recommendations for updates to company SOPs, Operator Qualification Plan, forms or other data collection mechanism, and work procedure improvements. Utilize electronic databases or other systems to analyze and monitor company compliance with regulatory requirements. May be asked to research and analyze governmental regulations and policies and interpret their applicability to gas operations.

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Additional responsibilities make include:
  • Participate in audits by addressing audit findings of concern when applicable.

  • Appraise and resolve unusual or difficult issues by working cross functionally with business units.

  • Serves as the business liaison with key internal stakeholders to ensure overall objectives are successfully met.

  • Establish a good working relationship with team members and department contacts in order to maintain and continuously strive to improve the level of overall service being provided.

  • Establish metrics that meet or exceed customer and Company goals and objectives while ensuring adherence to department policy and procedure.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of directly related experience, or

  • Associates Degree and 5+ years of directly related experience; or

  • High school diploma and 7+ years of directly related experience

  • Military Service Members/Veterans ranks from E7-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6; 3+ years directly related experience

Knowledge: Requires in-depth knowledge of applicable employee safety and pipeline safety regulations and requirements, including Operator Qualification and Pipeline Integrity Management. Thorough understanding of government regulations, company safety policies, approved work methods, Record Information Management (RIM) policy, and construction &/or field documentation. High level of technical expertise in gas distribution operations.

Skills: Familiar with the construction &/or field skills, equipment, and technologies used throughout gas distribution system, excellent communication, computer, writing, and coaching skills. Demonstrated expert knowledge of Windows-based software, including Word, Excel, Access, Project, and Power Point.

Abilities: Able to identify anomalies in data, both numerical and visual. Ability to compile, analyze, graph, and compare data using standard statistical techniques. Ability to communicate in a wide variety of communication styles and to influence and build consensus across cross-functional groups. Must be comfortable working in a diverse environment supporting field personnel with detailed analytic work.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experiences:
  • Exercises independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing, and conducting work assignments for self and Post Construction Quality Assurance team.

  • Will seek instruction and guidance on unusual or complex problems and knows when to get others involved.

  • Effectively utilizes the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches to problems encountered in work assignments.

  • Identifies and eliminates unnecessary work and non-value-added activities.

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, reads fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
