Tax Analyst (Fort Worth, TX)

What will you be doing?

• Review data and research tax statutes to accurately prepare and timely file income/franchise tax returns, related schedules, estimates, extensions, including proper documentation. (50%)

• Review general ledger accounts for tax financial reporting purposes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual filings and tax budgets. (15%)

• Research and prepare appropriate responses providing arguments and/or conclusions in response to federal and state tax authority notices and audits. (15%)

• Ensure that your tax knowledge stays up to date by utilizing technical reading, webcasts, and other training. (5%)

• Complete special tax technical projects as assigned and complete any other tax related functions as required. (5%)

• Ensure timely compliance of legislative imposed deadlines by utilizing systems to monitor such compliance (e.g., tax department calendar, notice log, etc.). Also, maintain electronic copies of appropriate records. (10%)

• Assist with the preparation of the ASC740 calculations.

What will you need to be successful?

• Education: bachelor's degree in accounting required, master's degree in accounting (tax) preferred.

• CPA preferred.

• Experience: Four plus years' experience. Experience must include corporate, federal and state compliance.

• Leadership if any: N/A

• Travel Requirements: <10%
