Clinical Educator, RN Ortho/Neuro 3A

Summary

Job Description:

The Clinical Educator is responsible for promoting high quality care through clinical leadership, consultation, education, and research. Professional Practice is based on the theoretical framework of nursing at Baptist Health Paducah including the principles of Relationship-Based Care, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Professional Practice, and the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act.

Job Duties:

• Collaborates with other educators throughout the facility and assists with assessing educational programs and updating when required.
• Collaborates with Department Directors, nursing staff and others to identify unit-specific educational needs
• Assesses educational need through a variety of methods, both formal and informal, for orientation, in-service education and continuing education to preceptors, new employ
• Incorporates research findings and best practice findings into the development of clinical practice guidelines/standards/policy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or must obtain BSN within two years of acceptance in this position.
• Current RN licensure by the Kentucky Board of Nursing

Preferred Requirements:

• 5 Years of experience of successful performances as staff nurse is preferred.
• ANCC or other National Certification preferred.
