A rapidly growing organization in the greater Raleigh area is looking for aSenior Accountantto join its finance team. This role offers the chance to be part of a company experiencing exciting momentum, where your accounting expertise will help shape financial operations and support strategic initiatives. This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation ingeneral ledger accountingwho also brings experience infinancial reportingandstatement preparation. You'll be a key contributor to the monthly close process and collaborate across departments to ensure financial accuracy and insight. Responsibilities: Oversee the integrity of core accounting records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis. Manage the monthly and year-end closing cycles, ensuring timely and accurate financial results. Assist in compiling internal financial reports, including profit and loss summaries, balance sheets, and cash flow overviews. Strengthen and refine internal accounting procedures and controls to support compliance and operational efficiency. Partner with leadership on planning activities such as budgeting and forecasting. Monitor and reconcile inventory balances, working closely with supply chain and procurement teams to resolve discrepancies. Support revenue recognition processes and assist with contract evaluations. Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure proper accounting treatment in line with standards. Contribute to lease accounting compliance and reporting under current guidelines. Provide financial insights to support business decisions and assist in preparing materials for executive leadership. Participate in system upgrades or process improvement initiatives to enhance scalability. Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during annual reviews and filings. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related, CPA is highly preferred At leastfive years of professional accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger and reporting. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
