Department of Student Affairs, School of Medicine Job Description
The Student Affairs department at the School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated Financial Wellness Counselor to support over 800 students across multiple degree programs. This role is ideal for someone who is student-centered, proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to make a meaningful impact on the financial well-being of future healthcare professionals In this role, you'll provide personalized financial counseling, lead scholarship processes, and collaborate with campus partners to deliver comprehensive financial wellness services. You'll also stay informed on national trends and advocate for resources that support student success. In efforts to provide comprehensive financial wellness services to School of Medicine students, this position also has a dotted line reporting structure to the UMKC Financial Aid and Scholarships Office. Key Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 (two) years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
$21.71 - $24.90 per hour, commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity. Application Materials
