Job Details
Summary The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct clinical care for patients with speech, language, cognitive and/or swallowing disabilities. Participates as a team member in an interdisciplinary patient care environment and keeps current with the latest speech and language pathology techniques that are appropriate for the patients of JHHCG. Participates in interdisciplinary training programs and provides in-services to health care personnel within JHHCG as well as to outside groups regarding current speech and language pathology techniques. Maintains patient records, while in compliance with specified standards. Maintains current practice techniques as determined by the Maryland Board of Speech and Language Pathology Board of Examiners. The SLP shall have knowledge of emergency preparedness and infection control in accordance with JCAHO and Medicare guidelines as well as those of JHHCG. Reports to the Clinical Manager. Minimum qualifications: Education: Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology and completion of Clinical Fellowship Year Work Experience: One year of clinical experience, acute/subacute/home health preferred License/Certification: Certification in Adult and Pediatric CPR JHM prioritizes the health and well-being of every employee.
