What you will do:
- Report to the AVP of Medical Group responsible for executing against Medical Group standards across areas of responsibility.
- Understand the application of the Endeavor Health mission in relation to the Director Role and responsibilities.
- Assume a leadership role in project management and recommend innovative solutions for identified opportunities.
- Lead and develop management team and support physician leadership to achieve overall growth targets for the area.
- Responsible for development and standardization of clinical operations across all Kellogg Cancer Center locations (EV, GB, HP, SW, Onc Immediate Care)
- Clinical operation of all infusion centers including all clinical staff and workflows/processes
- Clinical operation of Divisions of Hematology Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology including Collaborative Nurse function and other clinical support
- Oncology Immediate Care
- Oversight of and program development of global oncology support services including nurse navigation, nutrition, social work, and survivorship and cold cap programs.
- Assessment of and ongoing evolution of clinical processes/workflows to ensure safety, positive patient outcomes, efficiency and patient support across integrated cancer centers
- Planning and deployment of initiatives and projects to support operations and Continual Improvement (CI)
- Determines program goals for clinical excellence based on accreditation standards and other opportunities identified for improvement Direct involvement or provides direction related to accreditation efforts including CoC, QOPI, Joint Commission, and Magnet Routine and frequent communications regarding clinical and operational updates
- Responsible for ongoing clinical staff education and competencies in conjunction with Oncology Nurse Educator Knowledge of and involvement in efforts across oncology service line outside direct responsibility
- Ongoing partnership with key stakeholders and leaders across Oncology service line (screening, diagnostic radiology, IR, surgery, radiation, inpatient) Ongoing integration efforts with new partners
What you will need:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing from accredited school of nursing, master's degree in nursing, MBA, or other healthcare related discipline is preferred
- Experience: 5-10 years management, Minimum of three years' oncology patient care experience (outpatient preferred)
- Licensure/Certification Minimum Requirements: Current professional RN licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Physician management, financial management, operations management, and Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build alliances, drive results and manage change
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must be well organized and able to function under pressure.
- Must be able to effectively coordinate many simultaneous activities.
- Demonstrate leadership, supervisory, and management capabilities.
- Regulatory experience (CoC, QOPI, Joint Commission, Magnet) preferred
