*Description*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Center Technician to support the decommissioning of IT equipment across our data center facilities. This role involves the safe and efficient removal, documentation, and disposal of legacy hardware in accordance with company policies and industry standards. *Key Responsibilities:* Decommission servers, storage devices, and networking equipment following established procedures. Perform data sanitization and physical destruction of storage media in compliance with security protocols. Accurately document asset removal, serial numbers, and chain-of-custody records. Disconnect and label power and network cabling as needed. Coordinate with inventory, logistics, and recycling teams to ensure proper handling and disposal. Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the data center. Follow all safety and environmental guidelines during decommissioning activities. Report progress and issues to project leads or data center managers. *Skills:* Data center, Cable, Rack and stack, Cabling *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* Basic understanding of data center hardware (servers, racks, cabling, etc.) Familiarity with data destruction standards (e.g., NIST 800-88) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment Good communication and teamwork skills High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, etc.) *Experience Level:* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
