Responsible for operations support, project development, planning, and implementation of new and expanded programs in support of WVU Medicine Responsible for strategic planning, program development, ensuring policies, protocols, service levels, safety, compliance, and quality meet and exceed established hospital operations standards established by WVU Medicine.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare administration, Project Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field AND Five (5) years of experience in healthcare provider or consultant setting with demonstrated leadership of project management, operations, healthcare planning, data analysis, and process improvement OR; Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare administration, Project Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field AND Three (3) years of experience in healthcare provider or consultant setting with demonstrated leadership of project management, operations, healthcare planning, data analysis, and process improvement. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Related field. EXPERIENCE: 1. Experience in a healthcare setting. 2. Experience in a large multi-specialty or single-specialty physician group practice, a vertically integrated health system, or multi-site physician practice. Responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of the organizations process improvement program including but not limited to defining and developing the overall program objectives, scope and work plan. 3. Assists in achieving operating and financial objectives, supporting quality of service initiatives, adapting to economic, technological, and regulatory changes, and responding effectively to patient, physician, employee and organizational needs. 4. Ensures that all Hospital activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. 5. Supports the development and installation of procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow within the Hospital. 6. Plans, organizes, and controls multiple responsibilities and cross-functional resources and ensure that the most appropriate resources are assigned to projects. 7. Provides project management coordination and support for projects and their activities including but not limited to determining the plan schedule of deadlines and project completion, developing action plans, and coordinates the implementation and completion in collaboration with appropriate internal and external parties. 8. Responsible for effective communication and regular reports of project status including and not limited to independently representing executives in planning, operational meetings, activities and decisions. 9. Assists in meeting regulatory guidelines, licensure requirements, and in achieving quality improvement objectives. 10. Participates in information technology development to allow feedback regarding performance measurement and resource utilization. Assures proper analyst of data occurs to identify patterns and trends, and ensures reporting of the ongoing results of quality review to appropriate responsible parties. 11. Recommends and implements new policies, procedures, and strategies to streamline workflow and ensures stakeholder and meeting objectives are met. 12. Collaborates with the organizational leadership to integrate service functions with WVU Medicine. 13. Creates/facilitates process design changes by integrating new systems/processes with existing. 14. Provides training and consultative support to others regarding process improvement initiatives. 15. Participates on committees, special projects and other duties as assigned.
