Cook/Manager

Andover Central School is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who possesses the skills and experience necessary to manage the operation of the School Lunch Program.

Essential Duties:  

• Supervises and participates in the preparation and serving of food;

• Supervises and participates in maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen and dining area;

• Plans menus with attention to nutritional value, acceptability and budgetary limitations;

• Effectively communicates with students, families and staff

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Must possess the ability to positively interact with PreK-12th grade aged children.

• Two (2) years of experience in the preparation of food on a large scale; OR graduation from an approved two year college or technical institute with specialization in foods, nutrition or institutional management; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience;

• Good knowledge of the fundamentals of nutrition and their application to the health of children;

• Able to supervise the work of others;

• Able to keep records and prepare reports

Salary Range:   $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr, based on experience.

Salary/Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
