What this job involves: We are seeking a dedicated Grounds/Landscape Technician to maintain and enhance our campus environment. This outdoor role requires physical stamina, technical skills, and a commitment to excellence in landscape management. You'll make a visible impact on our campus while working primarily outdoors in an active environment creating and maintaining beautiful, functional outdoor spaces.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Tree management (cutting, trimming, chipping, and removal)
• Trail maintenance and enhancement (gravel application, repairs, grading)
• Island berm removal and terrain improvements
• Planting and care of trees, shrubs, and grass
• Campus-wide debris removal and cleanliness maintenance
• Fence and gate inspection and repair
• Seasonal field preparation
• Fire road bollard replacement
• Water feature inspection and maintenance
• Routine landscape maintenance tasks

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 6:30 am - 2:30 pm

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

• Experience operating landscape equipment and performing maintenance checks
• Proficiency with tractors, utility vehicles, and golf carts
• Skill with wood chippers and chainsaws
• Competence with various mowers and string trimmers
• Ability to use hand tools effectively
• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance (oil checks, battery maintenance, tire pressure monitoring)

Required Skills and Experience:

• Valid driver's license
• Strong safety orientation with a "Safety First" mindset
• Ability and willingness to learn our CMMS Work Order system
• Consistent reliability and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks
• Willingness to attend training and develop new skills
