About this opportunity:

The Office of Graduate and International Admissions welcomes applications for a Director of Graduate and International Recruitment and Admissions. Applications will be accepted through August 14, 2025.

What you'll do and what you'll bring:

Position Function: Provide strategy and leadership for graduate and international recruitment and admissions, to include all on-campus graduate (domestic, international, non-degree) and international (first-year, transfer, graduate, exchange, dual degree, Intensive English Institute) prospective students.

Job Duties:

1) Provide leadership and strategy to graduate and international recruitment, with an eye to creating a robust, qualified student body and strategic enrollment increases.

2) Provide leadership and workflow support to graduate and international admissions policies and processes, with priority given to access and efficiency in support of enrollment goals, knowledge of international credential evaluation and performance-based admissions will be of benefit to this work.

3) Provide leadership on development of strategic recruitment plans for graduate and international admissions, to include market analyses, work with education agents and other third-party service providers, travel planning, and development of recruitment presentations and collateral.

4) Assign, oversee and engage in travel (domestic and international) in support of strategic recruitment plans. This duty includes all planning and reporting responsibilities before, during and after travel.

5) Work in conjunction with University Marketing and Communication and the Admissions Communications team to develop recruitment materials, to manage admissions website content, to implement digital ad campaigns where appropriate, and to create CRM communications that support graduate and international recruitment and admissions.

6) Review and decisions international undergraduate student applications.

7) Consult with colleagues across campus (including the Graduate School, graduate programs, and admissions operations) to provide graduate application decisioning support.

8) Assign and review staff work; make recommendations in areas related to supervision, including interviewing and selection, compensation, discipline, performance appraisal and training.

9) Collaborate with campus colleagues to support pre-arrival, arrival, and orientation for new students. This includes collaboration with International Services to ensure efficient workflows for issuance of travel documents for international students

10) Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1) Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

2) Three years of experience in higher education in admissions, recruitment, or a closely related area.

3) Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills; excellent cross-cultural (verbal and written) communication skills; collaborative approach to effective team management; collegial approach to collaboration with on- and off-campus stakeholders, including university administrators, faculty, and staff as well as external entities such as education agents, third-party vendors, and professionals from other universities. .Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Master's degree in higher education administration or related field.

2) Five years of prior experience working in a graduate and/or international recruitment and/or admissions leadership or administrative role in college admissions; supervisory experience.

3) Ability to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) to issue initial I-20s.
