What to Expect
Tesla's Lithium Refinery is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Preventive Maintenance (PM) Lead to spearhead the development, implementation, and management of all preventive maintenance tasks at our state-of-the-art facility in Robstown, TX. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of critical equipment and systems through meticulous planning and execution of preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
What You'll Do
- Design and establish a comprehensive preventive maintenance program encompassing tasks such as vibration analysis, oil sampling, steam trap surveys, safety equipment inspections, and infrared (IR) thermography inspections
- Develop standardized procedures, checklists, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance across all preventative and predictive maintenance activities
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to coordinate maintenance tasks, minimizing disruptions to production, and utilize CMMS to track maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment history
- Develop, implement, and steward third party service agreements in support of specialized preventative maintenance activities, while managing vendor performance, cost controls, and compliance with Tesla standards
- Analyze PM data to identify trends and predict potential failures, while generating detailed reports on findings and recommend corrective actions to improve asset reliability
- Generate comprehensive weekly/monthly maintenance schedules for assigned unit areas, inclusive of PMs, repairs, and improvements
- Train maintenance personnel on high-frequency preventive maintenance procedures and best practices and conduct regular audits to verify adherence to maintenance protocols
What You'll Bring
- Evidence of exceptional ability, including a strong understanding of equipment maintenance fundamentals and demonstrated ability to leverage this understanding to solve challenging technical problems
- 5+ years in an industrial manufacturing environment, with experience supporting maintenance organizations in the development and execution of detailed preventative maintenance strategies
- Experience with solids handling, rotary calcination and hydro-metallurgical equipment is a plus
- Proven ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, occasionally requiring extended hours
- Ability to communicate clearly and interface with multiple engineering disciplines, vendors, craft experts, as well as executives
- A basic understanding of energy isolation, LOTO, and other fundamentals of unit Operations
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
