Mass Care Specialist
Various Locations Position Summary: Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Mass Care Specialist responsible for coordinating with the Human Services Branch and key partners to support mass care activities during disaster response. This includes feeding, sheltering, bulk distribution, reunification services, addressing unmet needs, supporting individuals with disabilities or access and functional needs, and the care of household pets. The position operates primarily within the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) and may also support county operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate feeding and sheltering operations during disaster response
- Support planning and execution of bulk distribution of emergency supplies
- Coordinate reunification services for separated individuals and families
- Address unmet needs through coordination with voluntary and partner organizations
- Support services for individuals with disabilities or access and functional needs
- Coordinate resources and sheltering for household pets
- Liaise with county operations as needed to support local response
- Document mass care activities and contribute to operational briefings and reports
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of work experience in a mass care or disaster response role
- Working knowledge of mass care activities and emergency support functions
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with ICS structure and emergency management procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure environments
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with voluntary organizations active in disaster (VOADs)
- Familiarity with shelter management systems or tools
- Experience supporting human services in emergency operations centers

Working Environment: Work is performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), field shelters, or other response locations. Extended hours and travel may be required across the continental United States and its territories during emergency activations.
