The Senior Financial Analysis Accountant, working under limited supervision, is responsible for monthly accruals related to Operating Expenses and Capital projects, leading concurrent projects, mentoring less-experienced professionals, and driving improvements within the financial analysis function. The role identifies, diagnoses, and recommends solutions independently, and contributes to company performance and goals through cross-disciplinary collaboration within the department. The role excels in leading concurrent projects, mentoring professionals, driving discipline improvements independently, ensuring accurate financial reporting. The role verifies analyses, enhances insights through extensive spreadsheets and graphs, implements training programs for the financial analysis team, and focuses on business process optimization and proficiency in key areas. The role reviews audit working papers, contributing to a comprehensive assessment during audits, and assists in designing internal controls for continuous process improvements within financial operations.

Job Description

* Calculates and posts accruals for operating expenses and capital expenditures

* Leads concurrent projects, mentors less-experienced professionals, drives improvements within the discipline by identifying, diagnosing, and recommending solutions independently, and contributes to company performance and goals through cross-disciplinary collaboration.
* Builds a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, theories, and concepts, and applies this knowledge to tasks such as preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and analyzing financial data to ensure accurate and informed financial reporting.
* Oversees analysis of company-specific financial and operational results, analyzes financial information, and reviews KPIs to utilize them for crucial forecasts in investment decisions.
* Verifies a variety of analyses, involving the compilation of extensive spreadsheets, charts, and graphs, contributing to the evaluation of financial data and enhancing the presentation of comprehensive insights.
* Implements comprehensive training programs for the financial analysis team, focusing on enhancing skills in business process optimization, financial analysis, variance analysis, and financial forecasting, ensuring continuous professional development and proficiency in key areas.
* Conducts thorough variance analysis and diligently investigates discrepancies, playing a pivotal role in supporting financial decision-making by providing crucial insights and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
* Reviews audit working papers, contributing to a comprehensive assessment of the organization's financial health during quarterly and annual audits.
* Assists in designing robust internal controls and actively contributes to continuous process improvements within the financial operations function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other Business related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.

Experience:
* 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Financial Analysis, Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
