Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsible for operating a variety of heavy construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company guidelines.

• Operates various pieces of large equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
• Ensures proper operation of heavy equipment by performing regular checks to confirm that each machine is functioning properly.
• Documents regular maintenance checks to maintain adequate records of equipment performance.
• Regularly cleans and maintains heavy equipment to preserve its quality, functionality, and longevity. Ensures that the equipment is stored properly to prevent damage and ensure readiness for use.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and need for repairs to the appropriate parties.
• Abides by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures.
• Commits to the overall safety of the work environment by always taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration.
• Other duties as required.

High School Diploma or GED required

2 to 5 years of experience operating a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, forklifts, and backhoes.
