Location: Dodson Medical Office BuildingDepartment: OrthopedicsShift: First Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours: 40Summary: The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for completion/filing of medical records. Maintain electronic medical records by efficiently processing incoming e-faxes, paper faxes, mail and printed documents with current electronic medical record system. Submit paper documents into the electronic medical record via scanning or barcoding. Assuring all documents are routed and categorized according to department policy and procedure. Incorporate diagnostic and procedure documents into electronic record as required and dictated by department. Process written requests for medical information according to the current release of information policies and procedures. Serve as a primary contact for CCMC health information management department personnel. Retrieves inactive charts as necessary for patient care or release of information purposes.
