The Neurosciences Service Line at University of Minnesota Physicians offers a wide range of services as well as the most effective treatments, including procedures, pre-hab and neurologic testing, for a variety of conditions such as chronic pain management, spinal cord injury, concussion, post covid, stroke and spine care in specialties of Neuropsychology, Physiatry (PM & R) and Pain Management. Our Neurosciences team, in combination with our specialized providers, nurses, pharmacists, dedicated programs and facilities, makes a comprehensive treatment plan for our patients. From a comprehensive intake to in-clinic procedures to planning next steps, our team members are trained to facilitate the best experience for our patients.

What you will do as a Psychometrist:

  • Adapts administration of test to the specific needs of each patient while staying within the standardized procedures set forth for each specific test
  • Administers and scores a variety of psychological and neuropsychological tests under the supervision of a clinical neuropsychologist
  • Tests are accurately and carefully compiled with appropriate behavioral observations noted for use by a neuropsychologist in the interpretation
  • Completes paperwork, generating a written summary of patient's behavior during testing
  • Organization and ordering/maintenance of test materials are also duties of the psychometrist
  • Compiles data for clinical and research purposes.
  • Enters test data accurately into relevant database(s)

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Psychology
  • Psychology experience of some kind with proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Experience administering, recording, and scoring psychological tests.
  • Basic measurement and digital literacy and strong observation, reading and writing skills

Compensation:

23.82 - 34.54 USD Hourly
