 ANALYGENCE is seeking a Junior Security Systems Engineerto support Department of Defense (DoD) systems through the full lifecycle of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities. The JSSE will assist in developing secure architectures, authoring cybersecurity documentation, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting accreditation processes to ensure mission assurance and system compliance. Responsibilities: 
 
 
 - Assist in authoring DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Accreditation (A&A) artifacts.
 
 
 - Document systems from a cybersecurity perspective using MS Word, Excel, Visio, and other tools.
 
 
 - Derive and document system CONOPS for Mission Assurance Categorization.
 
 
 - Research, recommend, and document logical/physical solutions to prevent, detect, and correct system vulnerabilities.
 - Apply DISA STIGs and NSA recommendations to engineering efforts.
 
 
 - Develop secure network architectures and engineering documentation using Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) principles.
 
 
 - Develop, execute, and document security test procedures.
 - Assist in analyzing designated US Naval warfare systems against known vulnerabilities, hacker techniques, and exploits.
 
 
 - Support Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) planning and execution.
 
 
 - Prepare System Security Administrator and Operators Manuals (SSAOM).
 - Support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and resolve Interim ATO (IATO) issues.
 
 
 - Conduct risk assessments and support technical requirement specifications.
 
 
 - Develop Microsoft PowerPoint materials for program briefings.
 
 
 - Translate complex engineering concepts into simplified explanations for diverse audiences.
 
 
 - Assist in developing cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, guidance, and procedures for combat systems.
 
 
 - Conduct cybersecurity-related research, gap analysis, threat analysis, and risk assessments for combat systems.
 
 
 - Use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
 
 
 - Minimum of 1 year of engineering or cybersecurity experience.
 - Minimum IAT Level II per DoD 8570.01
 - Active Secret Clearance
 - Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF, PIT, and military system specifications.
 - Familiarity with cybersecurity boundary defense techniques and appliances.
 - Experience in secure network architecture, security design, cyber testing, test analysis, or secure system development.
 - Strong written and oral communication skills.
 - Ability to document systems and processes clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
