Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
  • Position: Unit Secretary - Main Operating Room
  • Location: Arlington Heights, IL
  • Full time/Part time: Full Time, 40 hours/week
  • Hours: 6:30am-3pm, Rotating weekends
  • Required Travel: No

What you will do:

  • Reporting to the clinical manager or designee, with accountability to the other caregivers enters department specific patient treatments/charges to facilitate management of the patient healthcare record.
  • Assists the care team in coordinating patient activities and services.
  • Assists in coordinating communication and resources between care team, physicians, patients and family members.
  • In ancillary areas, may coordinate and schedule department specific patient procedures in the hospital's scheduling system.

What you will need:

  • The level of knowledge normally acquired through the completion of High School or the equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year data or order entry experience using a computer preferred.
  • Computer literacy and experience with PC applications.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
