Position Details * Job Title: Legal Document Reviewer / Paralegal * Type: Contract (6 months, with potential for extension) * Schedule: 30-40 hours/week | Flexible start between 7-9 AM PST * Location: 100% Remote * Pay Range: $28-$35/hour (W2) * Interview Process: 1-step Microsoft Teams interview with Real Estate team managers * Expected Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a Temporary Paralegal to support the Commercial Mortgage Loans group within the investment management arm of a leading financial services firm. This role focuses on reviewing legal entity formation documents and organizational charts related to borrowers in commercial mortgage transactions. Key Responsibilities * Analyze borrower organizational charts to verify ownership structures and governance. * Review legal formation documents (LLCs, LPs, corporations, trusts) for accuracy and completeness. * Identify and escalate discrepancies or missing information. * Ensure compliance with internal KYC and OFAC standards. * Collaborate with legal, compliance, and investment teams to resolve documentation gaps. Required Qualifications * Paralegal certification or equivalent legal support experience. * 2+ years of experience with legal documentation in a corporate or financial setting. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Familiarity with Secretary of State filings and good standing certificates. * Experience working with trusts and corporate entity structures. Preferred Skills * Experience in commercial lending or mortgage transactions. * Experience in financial services or investment management. * Knowledge of trust and estate documentation.
