Assistant Professor in Industrial Organization 41962BR Agricultural and Applied Economics Position Description The Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics in the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Industrial Organization (IO) to begin January 1, 2026. Located on a beautiful 1,850-acre campus in Lubbock, a city in West Texas with a growing metropolitan-area population of over 300,000, the university enrolls over 40,000 students with 33,000 undergraduate and 7,000 graduate students. About the College The Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources is comprised of seven academic departments. The College promotes and supports multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and inter-institutional research programs. Cooperative relationships exist between the College and Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension and USDA-ARS. About the Department/School/Area The Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics currently has 21 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, two professors of practice, one adjunct faculty, 525 undergraduate students, and 106 graduate students. The Department offers B.S. degrees in Agribusiness and Agricultural and Applied Economics as well as a concentration in International Agribusiness with programs in Latin America, Asia, and Europe; M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Agricultural and Applied Economics, and a Master of Agribusiness.
