The opportunity

The School of Engineering, Technology, and Aeronautics (SETA) at Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking a student employee for our campus location to assist the Construction Management Department with ongoing projects and events. They will work with the Lab Operations Coordinator and the Construction Management Department Chair to collaborate between departments within SETA and with campus stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist SETA Dean's Office and Construction Management Department with projects
  • Help with preparation, set up, and take down for Academic events
  • Clean/organize Construction Management classrooms and labs
  • Provide operational and technical support by applying and learning skills associated with the Construction Management program
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in the Construction Management Undergraduate program at SNHU
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills
  • Junior standing in Construction Management program

Learning Outcomes:

  • Improve writing abilities and understand how formal communications are designed and implemented
  • Build better relationships through peer to peer interaction, team meetings, and event planning
  • Understand the steps of project management- from creation to completion
  • Gain the professional skills needed to work in varied environments (office and lab spaces) and collaborate across departments

Work Schedule: up to 10 hours per week

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
