Brief Description

The primary purpose of this position is to record, update and maintain the record keeping system of assets in the Asset Management Software for a specified Brazos River Authority (BRA) location. This is accomplished by entering all applicable new asset information, including warranty and maintenance requirements, or providing to the IT Department for entry into the Asset Management database; recording transfers and reassignments of assets; capturing all maintenance, repairs and improvements of assets; managing specific functions of the application by generating work orders, tracking preventative and demand tasks associated with BRA assets; logging destruction and disposal of assets, ensuring all information is properly entered into the system and is in compliance with BRA's Asset Management Procedure. Responsibilities also include: annual audit of inventory and preventative maintenance tasks reviewing departmental work orders on a weekly basis; completing work orders by documenting the work performed, parts and labor for the activity, and any applicable invoices; creating and assigning inspection points for assets; generating reports; tracking fuel entries; coordinating with departments to facilitate BRA asset management objectives; and any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
  • A minimum of four years' experience or equivalent combination of education with a minimum of two years' experience in asset management and asset management software.


  • High School Plus Vocational Training - Obtained with advanced study or training past high school.

STARTING SALARY RANGE

$23.10 to $29.45 per hour. This is a non-exempt position.
