The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking an Account Executive, Marketing Solutions for our Chicago office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote).

Starting base salary = $90,000- $112,000- $134,000 (commensurate with related experience) plus incentive compensation. The AHA is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.

The Account Executive, Marketing Solutions is responsible for engaging with Subject Matter Experts within the AHA and AHA key business partners to advance these relationships. Provide a trusted advisor approach in addressing needs with solutions that drive shared business strategies and values of the AHA, its members, and its partners. Leverage appropriate AHA capabilities and initiatives to provide partners with unique perspectives and insights regarding the healthcare field as well as unique opportunities to achieve business goals. Create and maintain relationships with AHA members and businesses. This position is part of a sales and account management team within the strategic business enterprise of the AHA, creatively partnering to develop and deliver essential information and innovative services to help health care leaders achieve organizational performance excellence and sustainability.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Develop iterative sales plans that align customers unique marketing needs and goals with new and existing AHA capabilities to increase AHA revenue.
  • Manage and grow customers using a consultative selling approach.
  • Maintain current knowledge of AHA products, services and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate healthcare market knowledge of current and historical trends, market drivers and factors that influence customer priorities, tactics and approaches. Keep current market knowledge of the competitive landscape, technology and regulatory issues
  • Identify and qualify new customers. Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of at least 2 times quota.
  • Ability to identify, close and manage sales opportunities representing $2M annually.
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) system to record all sales activities.
  • Perform follow-up contact with prospects, existing and new customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Develop reports and update sales forecasts as required.

Bachelors of Health Administration (required)
Experience
5 years: *Experience with demonstrated quota attainment in selling business-to-business products or services at the senior executive level
*Experience selling to the healthcare or related industry
*Experience applying a consultative selling approach that focuses on partnership and the value proposition.
