Primary Function The Pricing Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and overseeing all material pricing and cost estimating efforts for multiple concurrent business opportunities. This role ensures compliance with regulations and program requirements while supporting the development of competitive and accurate proposals. Essential Functions
Plan and manage material pricing and cost estimating for proposals to meet program deadlines. Conduct industry research, develop pricing policies, and oversee the maintenance of historical pricing data. Respond to RFP releases and work with capture management to ensure proposal submissions meet all RFP requirements. Collaborate with program management to ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR regulations and Contract Statements of Work (SOW). Prepare and support submission of proposals and OEPs for IDIQ contract Task Orders, including review and compliance. Partner with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain cost estimating processes, procedures, and tools. Supervise, train, motivate, and evaluate pricing and estimating staff. Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position manages material pricing and cost estimating efforts and makes exempt-level decisions including interviewing, hiring, termination, performance reviews, and corrective actions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of government contracting requirements, including FAR and DFAR. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and use of independent judgment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of cost estimating or project management experience in a government contracting environment. Extensive experience with DoD project management requirements, including Memoranda of Price Reasonableness (MPRs). Experience managing projects in an IDIQ contract environment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
